Day 10 - Today our focus turns to India
Perhaps, unlike any other country you visit for the first time, India will be etched on all your senses for the rest of your life. An explosion of culture, nature, food, temples and forts that will delight. Luxury trains, houseboats on the backwaters of Kerala, spotting the elusive tigers in Ranthambore National Park, this doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of this remarkable country. India is large; don’t try to fit it into one trip. We’ll help you pick the destinations that excite you the most and tailor them into your trip. A guest has been four times and still has a long to-do list.
Bollywood is bigger than Hollywood and the contrast of the super rich and poor is striking, particularly in the major cities. Our partner in India is an expert in this diverse country and always looking to give back to local communities.
Try to use accommodation with local character, some of the palaces here are simply incredible, plus there are tented camps in some of the National Parks that will rival African and Asian competitors.
An ideal spot to end your trip is to relax on the beaches of Goa. After a lot of exploring, it’s a great place to stand still for a few days, let your hair down and relax.
We can’t recommend India highly enough, you’ll fall in love with the place and if you’re on your first trip, it won’t be your last. The new eTV (electronic tourist visa) for many nationalities makes travelling to India a much quicker process, but check the rules and regulations with us.
