Day 6 - a double helping today as we take a brief look at the Laos & Cambodia

Firstly, we should note that both Cambodia and Laos are single centre destinations in their own right. If you're looking for something a little different from the typical Thailand/Vietnam trip then these destinations are a prime choice to have a holiday full of surprises and wonderful adventures.

Both countries have influences from former French colonialism, both have stunning natural beauty and both have unique and awe inspiring culture, history and of course temples. Oh did we mention the Jungle and beaches as well? Perhaps a cruise along the Mekong river in Laos is your cup of tea whilst trying to spot the Irrawaddy Dolphin, or temples are you thing, in which case the majestic Angkor in Cambodia is the place for you. For a truly one in a lifetime experience venture to watch the sunset over Angkor Thom, breathtaking.

As for the 6 iconic temples, well in fact these destinations are filled with all manner of temples which each in their own way are special and unique, so perhaps 6 is not doing the destinations justice.
